The Best Packing Tip You'll Ever Get

12:00 PM

Packing. It's horrible. There's choosing and calculating and it truly makes your head hurt. I'm here to make the stuffing, the folding, and the zipping just a little bit easier. Who am I kidding? This will make it a lot easier.

So say you want to put all this... 7 days worth of clothes
(a beach towel, toiletries, make up, 2 skirts, 4 pairs of shorts, 9 pairs of underwear, a pair of flip flops, 2 bras, 2 dresses, a housewarming present, 2 bathing suits, 2 books, a pair of socks, and 6 shirts)

Into this...

Yes, this. A small carry on suitcase.

You try folding it and result in this. There's no way that thing is going to even close let alone zip.

The secret is rolling!

Yes, roll everything up!
For bathing suits and towels, fold the towel in half. Place the bathing suits at one end.

and just simply roll it up!

For T-Shirts and other stuff, just fold it in half and roll it up!

Start with a base level of rolled clothing and really sandwich 'em in there. This right here is 4 pairs of shorts, 2 dresses, 9 pairs of underwear (gotta be prepared!), 3 shirts, and 2 skirts.

Add the rest of the clothing and then all the non clothing items like toiletries and such.

Remember if you're flying with a carry on, you'll probably need to put all your liquids in bottles under 3 ounces and then into a quart sized bag!

This thing easily zips and allows plenty of room for last minute items or even some new goodies to be brought home from vacation!

3 Sweet little note(s)

  1. I'll have to give this a try next time we travel. ;)

  2. Great tip. I've heard that rolling your clothes is the way to go but I've never tried it. Awesome share.
